🎤 Presentations

A curated collection of technical talks I’ve delivered across meetups and conferences, focused on modern IT practices.

Why the UNIX Philosophy Still Matters in a Cloud-Native World - DevOpsDays Sibiu 2026

Modern cloud-native systems can become fragile, expensive, and hard to reason about when they grow complex and tightly coupled. In this talk, I showed how the classic UNIX principles (do one thing well, programs work together, simple interfaces, and favor composition over monoliths) remain highly relevant for building maintainable infrastructure, Terraform modules, microservices, sidecars, GitOps flows, and CI/CD pipelines.

DevOps: The Bridge between Infrastructure and Development - SWM #41

Outlining the distinct responsibilities of development (writing code, building apps) and infrastructure (providing environments and systems that support the apps), and how the DevOps methodology serves as a critical bridge between these roles. Emphasizing the importance of automation, continuous integration (CI), and deployment pipelines to streamline workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and increase reliability. Learning how DevOps enhances transparency and collaboration, ultimately enabling faster and more resilient software delivery.

Networking in Docker and its gimmicks - SWM #38

Providing a deep dive into how Docker handles networking internally and how developers can leverage different network drivers such as bridge, host, overlay, and macvlan. Also pointing out some gimmicks when it comes to Docker networking.
